Media and Visual Arts Instructor – Full Time for 2012-2013

La Reina High School is currently recruiting a full-time Media and Visual Arts Instructor for the 2012-2013 school year. The Media and Visual Arts Instructor will teach high school courses in graphic design, web design, animation and video production. Additional responsibilities could include study hall, homeroom teacher, and substitution. A Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Visual Communications or a related discipline is required.

The position requires experience in Mac OS, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. A California Clear Teaching Credential is preferred.

Department of Justice fingerprinting and tuberculosis clearance are required for employment.

The position will be eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, short- and long-term disability insurance, personal time-off and sick time-off.

Guidance Counselor – Full Time for 2012-2013

La Reina High School is currently recruiting a full-time Guidance Counselor for the 2012-2013 school year.

Responsibilities
The Guidance Counselor will provide counseling and guidance services to students. Additional responsibilities include educating students, faculty and parents in adolescent development, and other relevant topics; providing leadership in the planning, development, improvement and execution of the guidance program, and coordinating all guidance educational programs and activities.

Education
A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or similar field is required. LMFT, LCSW, and/or PPS credential is preferred. A California Clear Teaching Credential is preferred but not required.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience in counseling students in grades 7 through 12. Candidates must possess superior interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills. A high level of confidentiality is required.
