Applications for the 2013-2014 school year continue to be accepted and offers of admission will be made as space permits. Families are encouraged submit an online application as soon as possible. Applicants for grades 7, 8, and 9 are required to take the Entrance Placement Test at a date to be determined in the spring.
The following steps are required for application to La Reina High School. Please read them carefully.
Online Application
Applications for admission are completed online. Once an application and the $100 application fee have been received, the applicant will be cleared to take the Entrance Placement Test on a date to be determined.
The test takes approximately 3 ½ to 4 hours for 9th grade applicants and 4 – 4 ½ hours for 7th and 8th grade applicants. La Reina does not recommend any special test preparation. Students applying for scholarships at La Reina must take the Entrance Placement Test on La Reina’s campus. Students applying for grade 10 are not required to take the Entrance Placement Test.
Before completing an application, please be sure to read La Reina's Admissions Criteria, by clicking here.

Recommendation Requests
La Reina requests recommendations from the applicant’s current English teacher, math teacher, and principal. Applicants with an active faith life are also encouraged to obtain a priest, pastor or religious leader/teacher recommendation.
Recommendation requests can be completed online at the end of the online application, or by clicking on the following link: https://secure.infosnap.com/schoolrecs/gosnap.aspx?solution=430
There is no fee for using this service.
• Please note that some public schools may choose not to participate in the submission of recommendation forms for their students. While this will not preclude an applicant from being considered for admission, it will limit the information La Reina uses to determine a student’s eligibility for, and placement within, its academic program. Without proper teacher recommendations, placement in Honors courses will be based solely on the student's performance on La Reina's Entrance Placement Test.
• All students currently attending a Catholic school must submit requests for recommendations to their current teachers and principal.
Applicant Records
A signed Release of Records form must be submitted to the applicant’s current school. This form allows for the transfer of important information between schools. Past grades and test scores are utilized in the Admissions and placement processes.
Click here to download and print the “Release of Records” form.
La Reina will not accept quarter grades or progress reports for review. Student records are required to be sent to La Reina before an applicant can be considered for admission. Families should request these documents as quickly as possible in order to expedite the admissions process.
The Personal Interview
The interview process allows both the applicant and La Reina to get to know one another better. During this brief interview, applicants are encouraged to ask questions about La Reina’s program. Once an application has been submitted and the application fee paid, an interview can be scheduled by contacting the Admissions Office at 805-495-6494, ext. 307.
