Admissions Process

2012 Test Dates:

An applicant is invited to test once an online application and the application fee of $100 has been submitted.

Applicants will be considered for admission after completion and/or submission of the following:

New applicants:

*An application must be submitted in order for a student to test.

Online Application (see below)
Non-refundable Application Fee of $100
Copy of Applicant's Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)
Entrance Placement Test (entering grades 7, 8, or 9)
Personal Interview
Online Recommendation Forms (utilized to determine placement within the academic program)
Authorization for Release of Records (to the student's current school)

Current La Reina eighth graders applying for ninth grade:

Once the application and non-refundable application fee have been received by La Reina High School, the applicant's file is activated and a space is reserved for the required Entrance Placement Test (for applicants entering grades 7,8 and 9 only).

Below are the links to La Reina's online application.  For an application to be considered complete, four online recommendations (English Teacher Recommendation, Math Teacher Recommendation, Principal Recommendation, and Priest, Pastor or Religious Leader Recommendation) are requested.   Please follow the links within the online application or click here   to be taken to the online recommendation site.  Please note that some schools may choose not to participate in the submission of recommendation forms for their students.  While this will not preclude an applicant from being considered for admission, it will limit the information La Reina uses to determine a student’s placement within the academic program.  Current La Reina eighth graders do NOT need recommendations.   

The Parent Authorization for Release of Records form located below must be submitted to an applicant's current school.  The applicant's current school will then forward the records to La Reina.   Records must be received for an applicant to be considered for admission.  Please do not submit the authorization form to La Reina as it will only delay your request.  Current La Reina eighth graders do NOT need to submit this form.

Please note: When requesting academic records, keep in mind that Semester or Trimester grades for the current school year must be included.  Progress reports or quarter grades will not fulfill this requirement.  Please wait to request grades from your daughter’s current school until the end of the first grading semester or trimester.
