Admissions Timeline

Applications for admission to La Reina High School may be submitted online beginning October 1, 2012. An Entrance Placement Test will be scheduled for all applicants entering Grades 7, 8 and 9 who have an application on file in the Admissions Office and who meet preliminary admissions criteria.

Beginning
October 1, 2012

Online applications accepted for 2013-2014

Applications received by January 25, 2013 will receive first consideration by the Admissions Committee and are given priority status for fall admission. These applicants will take the Entrance Placement Test on January 26, 2013. Decision letters for these applicants will be mailed March 1, 2013.

Applications received after January 25, 2013 will be given secondary consideration by the Admissions Committee for fall admission, as space permits. These applicants will take the Entrance Placement Test at a later date.

Applications continue to be accepted year round, and offers of admission are made as space permits.

Regent for a Day

Regent for a Day is an opportunity for applicants for grades 7 through 10 to learn more about La Reina by shadowing a current student throughout a school day. A complimentary lunch will be provided. To participate in Regent for a Day:

  • A reservation for Regent for a Day must be made in advance. Visits can be scheduled for select dates between October 5, 2012 and May 3, 2013. There are a limited number of spaces available each day.

La Reina High School Open House

This event is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to visit the LRHS campus, meet the teachers, and talk with current students and their parents.

No reservations are necessary.

Step-Up Day for Prospective Freshmen

Eighth grade girls are invited to "Step-Up" to high school and experience life as a Regent. Prospective students can tour the campus, meet current students and teachers and ask questions about academics, activities and more. Transportation is arranged by the guest's family. Complimentary lunch and snacks are provided. A permission slip is required and must be received by November 12, 2012.

Entrance Placement Testing for incoming 7th, 8th and 9th grade applicants.


In order for an applicant to take the Entrance Placement Test, a completed application (online application + application fee) must be on file. Applicants should bring #2 pencils with good erasers, a snack, and something to read in case the applicant finishes sections of the test early. No special test preparation is suggested.

* An application must be submitted for a student to test.

Personal Interview Days

An option to choose a preferred date and time will be made available during the online application process. Limited appointments are available on each date. Apply early to lock-in your preferred date. Interviews last approximately 15 minutes and are for the applicant and at least one parent.

Preliminary Tuition Assistance Awards will be mailed to those families who applied and submitted all required documentation and whose daughters have been accepted to La Reina for the 2013-2014 school year.
