Tuition & Fees

Tuition and Fees for 2013-14

Tuition for the 2013 - 14 school year has been set at $11,900. Payment of full tuition by June 5, 2013 will receive a discount of $300, reducing the amount to $11,600. Flexible tuition plans are available with installments beginning in May 2013.

At the time of enrollment in March 2013, the following non- refundable payments are required to secure each student’s space for the upcoming school year:

• $800 non-refundable Registration Fee.
• $400 non-refundable Technology Fee.
• $600 non-refundable Tuition Deposit. The tuition deposit will be applied towards the final tuition payment due for the year.
Tuition accounts must be in current status in order for a student to begin classes. This includes receipt of the registration fees, technology fee, tuition deposit and any scheduled tuition payments based upon payment plan chosen.

**Students requiring a Form I-20/F-1 student visa in order to attend school in the United States must contact the Admissions Office for further information on admission criteria and tuition and fees. The above tuition and fees schedule applies to students that do not require a Form I-20/F-1 student visa.**

Tuition and Fees for 2012-13

Tuition for the full 2012 - 13 school year is $11,000. Tuition may be modified accordingly for students enrolling after first quarter of the school year. Please contact the Admissions Office for further information.

In addition to Tuition, the following non- refundable payments are required upon enrollment to the school:

• $1,000 non-refundable tuition deposit. The tuition deposit will be applied towards the final payment due for the year.

Explanation of Tuition and Fees


The above outlined Tuition and Fees cover all instructional costs during the academic day and include such items as technology, science labs, assemblies, grade 7-11 retreats, yearbook, and all school publications. It does not cover items such as textbooks, school uniforms, athletic and extra-curricular activity fees, bus transportation, senior graduation events, KAIROS retreat, class pictures, school lunches, donations and fundraising drives, and miscellaneous replacement items.

Tuition Payment Methods

The school has partnered with the company Tuition Aid Data service (TADS) to manage the billing and payment of tuition and fees. Families are required to have a completed Tuition Management Agreement on file with TADS before start of school, and will establish a secure billing account with TADS.

Tuition will be billed to families directly by TADS via email or mail. Payments should be remitted directly to TADS either on line by automatic bank withdrawal, e-check, or credit card or by mailing a check.

Instructions for making an on-line payment:

Clicking on the payment link https://secure.tads.com will bring you to your TADS account Login screen. Use your TADS account login ID and Password. (Or you may create an account here if you do not have one already).

Once logged in: click directly on the “BILLING” tab on the Menu on the top of the screen

Once logged in choose the option: “We received an invoice and would like to view our Billable Account or make a payment”.

Click on the invoice you want to pay and select “Make a Payment”.

Tuition Assistance


Families must re-apply for Tuition Assistance each school year. La Reina makes Tuition Assistance grants on the basis of need as evaluated by Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS). Assistance is not granted for merit, and not all requests can be honored. The Tuition Aid Committee reviews all applications received from TADS. All of the proceedings are strictly confidential. We urge you to apply for tuition assistance as early as possible and before the priority filing deadline as funds are limited.

Tuition Assistance Process - School Year 2013/14


Beginning November 15, 2012 families applying to La Reina High School, with financial need may also apply for tuition assistance by submitting an application online to TADS at www.tads.com. A processing fee of $35 is payable to TADS at the time of submission. Returning families will need to reapply for tuition assistance each school year.

Funds for Tuition Assistance are limited. Priority consideration will be given to those families who submit their applications for Tuition Assistance by February 5, 2013.
*Interested families should make every effort to meet the February 5, 2013 priority filing deadline. Applications received after this date will be considered based on any remaining funds available.

All families must complete a two step process in order to receive Tuition Assistance:

• Step #1 is to complete the online application at www.tads.com and submit required documentation as specified on the application. Priority consideration is given to those who apply by February 5, 2013. Applications received after this date will be considered based on the remaining funds available.

• Step #2 requires submitting any final documents for review and verification (including completed 2012 tax return, K-1’s etc.). Required follow-up documentation must be submitted to TADS no later than May 31, 2013. Tuition assistance awards will be considered preliminary and remain as such until the school receives notification from TADS that final documents, including 2012 tax returns, have been submitted. Discrepancies will be evaluated and awards may be adjusted if deemed appropriate by the Tuition Aid Committee.

Family notification of tuition assistance amounts will be mailed after March 1, 2013 provided the student has been accepted into La Reina High School and the family has successfully met the Step #1 priority filing deadline of February 5, 2013. Families missing the February 5, 2013 priority filing deadline will be notified of any tuition assistance award approximately three weeks after completion of the on-line Tuition Assistance application.
*Any information submitted in connection with Tuition Assistance applications is subject to audit and verification. Applicants may be asked to provide documented evidence to support information on the application. The school may require the completion of IRS Form 4506-T, Request for Transcript of Tax Return to verify tax returns.

 

Tuition Assistance - School Year 2012/13

Applications for 2012-2013 Tuition Assistance may still be considered provided funds are still available. To request assistance for the current year, we request that a letter be submitted to the Tuition Assistance Committee describing the specific circumstances of your need.
