GUIDANCE COUNSELING

The Guidance Program of La Reina High School provides the opportunity for the counselors to get to know each student personally, and offers numerous support services for the students.

Guidance Services

1. As an outgrowth of the philosophy of La Reina High School, the Guidance Department offers:
2. Individual counseling for problem solving
3. Small group opportunities for students to meet for personal growth and problem solving
4. Formal group guidance program covered by counselors when visiting classes. Topics including: eating disorders, depression and suicide prevention, grief and loss, safety issues for women, adolescent development and anger management
5. Formal alcohol and drug education curriculum in grades 7 - 12 inclusive
6. Parent meetings on adolescent development
