The Social Science Department of La Reina High School prepares students for their role as responsible citizens in local, national and global communities. Students are expected to acquire the knowledge, values and skills necessary to participate in a modern technological society. The department pursues and encourages an appreciation of the multi-cultural diversity within the student body and integrates this diversity into the instructional program. Furthermore, the department actively promotes Catholic/Christian perspectives as a means to evaluate and interpret current and past events. It is expected that each student will apply Catholic/Christian values in a manner which fosters goodness and justice in society.
