On Saturday November 7, 2009, La Reina High School will hold its Twenty-sixth Annual Dinner and Auction, “Home is Where the Heart Is.” This year the Auction Committee decided to return this event to the school campus in order to maximize the revenue, giving the greatest possible benefit to the students. We invite you to be a partner with us as our auction “returns home.”
La Reina, located in Thousand Oaks, is a Catholic college preparatory junior and senior high school for young women of all faiths. Since 1964, the school has provided a quality, values-oriented education for students from Ventura and western Los Angeles Counties. La Reina, founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame, is financially independent. It receives no subsides from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles or any parish. In order to sustain and expand the outstanding educational and co-curricular programs, the school depends on the generous support of the community. The annual auction, sponsored by the Parent Guild, is the school’s major fundraising event. All funds raised from the auction directly benefit the students in the form of scholarships, educational technology, and campus improvements.
This year, the Parent Guild is also initiating several on-line auctions! Watch this website for more information!
We invite you to join this important cause. Donations of merchandise, services, gift certificates or cash to help defray costs would be greatly appreciated. Your contribution will be recognized in the auction catalog (distributed to more than 600 community members), in La Reina Today Community Edition (a newsletter with a circulation of 4,000) and at the auction itself.
Please consider La Reina High School in your community support plans for 2009; the nonprofit tax identification number is 95-2381453. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated by the families, faculty, and the students of La Reina High School, and you will have the personal satisfaction of knowing that you are investing in the education of our future community leaders! If you have any questions, please call Barbara Lilley at 805-917-7112.
Very gratefully,
