Historically, La Reina High School has been blessed with generous donors, both for the original investment in the school and for ongoing operations. As a private Catholic school, La Reina is financially independent from any Catholic diocese or parish and therefore must find the resources necessary (beyond tuition) for the quality Catholic education that is La Reina's tradition. Regular donors include alumnae, current and alumnae parents and guardians, staff, students, foundations, community service organizations, major corporations, local small businesses and many friends.

All donations are tax-deductible, subject to Internal Revenue Service limitations and guidelines.  Donors should consult a financial adviser for personalized information on tax benefits.  La Reina's non-profit tax identification number is 95-2381453 and our legal title is "La Reina High School."

ANNUAL FUND donations underwrite the current greatest needs including scholarships, instructional and activities enrichment, technology upgrades, and capital improvements. 

ENDOWMENT FUND gifts guarantee resources into the future. Individual donors may also choose to direct a current or endowment gift for a specific purpose.  For information on establishing an endowment fund or a non-endowed scholarship fund, contact the LRHS Advancement Office (information given at the bottom of this page).

TRIBUTE SCHOLARSHIP GIFTS honor a special person (on a birthday or another occasion) or memorialize a deceased loved one. The Development Office will send an attractive acknowledgment card to the honoree or the family of the deceased person with a promise of prayer and an appropriate message. IN-KIND DONATIONS are gifts of services, equipment or items that provide operational savings and meet specific needs.

MATCHING GIFTS of employees' contributions are provided by a number of corporations. A matching gift may double and sometimes triple the size of an individual donation. La Reina has recently received matching gifts from companies such as Amgen, Bank of America, Bristol Myers, Countrywide, Hewlett-Packard, Qualcomm, SBC, Tenet Healthcare and Verizon.

MEMORIAL GIFTS IN LIEU OF FLOWERS can provide a lasting tribute to a deceased loved one.  The following information would be appropriate to include in a newspaper obituary notice:  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to La Reina High School, c/o Development Office, 106 W. Janss Rd., Thousand Oaks, CA  91360.

UNITED WAY designations may be directed to La Reina High School. For gifts through the United Way of Los Angeles, La Reina's agency number is 17513.

MARKETABLE SECURITIES (such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds) donations may help the donor avoid long-term capital gains taxes.  Gifts of most securities may be made by electronic transfer.  Follow this link for Information on Donating Securities.
