Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach

Patrick Neville, Head Cross Country and Track coach for La Reina, joined the coaching staff at the school in 2015-2016.  In his first year, the Track & Field team won their third ever league championship and he earned coach of the year honors.  In Cross Country the team qualified for CIF.  

Patrick is a lifelong runner who started running with his father and identical twin brother in the 80s.  He ran competitively in high school and college.  In 1991 he won the Florida State Cross Country Championship both as an individual and team and in the mid-90s captained the Duke University Cross Country team.  In 2006, he helped found and run a summer cross country camp for high school and junior high school students in Florida.

Since at La Reina, Patrick has continued the summer tradition of holding cross country camp at Mammoth Lakes, however, has added the formal camp program he developed. Additionally, he helped found the La Reina Summertime Cross Country Series in 2016 which is hosted on the La Reina Cross Country course. Patrick teaches AP Physics and 8th grade Algebra at La Reina. 

Pat is a graduate of Duke University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in finance from NYU.  His wife, Becky (a Duke and Yale graduate) is also a runner and the mother of their two children Andrew (8) and Sara (6).  They live in Westlake Village.
