Roboregents Achieve Impressive Record!
Posted 03/10/2017 11:36AM

After a season of hard work and dedication the Roboregents Middle School Team 1034M, Madison Carion '22 and Rebecca Xu '22,  emerged victorious as Tournament Champions at the third annual All Girls Vex Tournament on Saturday March 25, 2017 held at La Reina High School. Both Madison and Rebecca are in their first year of robotics.

An impressive total of 38 all-girl teams from all over California participated in the tournament, with La Reina contributing three teams. La Reina competed well during the early rounds, and all three teams advanced to the elimination rounds.
For the elimination rounds, the teams group into three-team alliances to move forward, and must win two of three games against their opponents.
Maddie and Rebecca's alliance was pitted against our other La Reina teams in the elimination quarterfinals. Happily (and sadly) they eliminated the opposing alliance and went on, with their alliance, to win the tournament!
We are so proud of how all girls competed and performed. The camaraderie and supportive spirit were well noted by the tournament officials.

The Roboregents will conclude the 2016-2017 season by sending the High School robotics team,  Deanna Rice ’18 and Kaitlin Kelleher ’20, to the VEX World Competition in April.
