Track & Field

About the Team

The La Reina Track & Field Team is open to all students in grades 9-12. The track and field program has asserted itself as one of the premier programs on both the local and state level, qualifying individuals for the C.I.F. Southern Section Division IV Finals, C.I.F. Southern Section Masters Championships, and the California State Championships in recent years.

The 2016 Regents won their 2nd consecutive league title.  The Regents were led by a well-balanced attack of sprinters, jumpers, throwers, and distance runners.  Head Coach Patrick Neville was named 2016 coach of the year for the league.

In 2017, La Reina is excited to announce that it has added two new coaches to its already strong staff.  Melissa Skiba, former stand out at Oak Park High School and DIII NCAA National Champion in the 5000 meters, will help lead the distance team.  Lydia Campbell, former CIF champion at Thousand Oaks High school and Big West High Jump Championship in college, will lead the La Reina jumping contingent.

With a strong group of returning athletes from last year’s championship squad, the 2017 La Reina team has high expectations for the upcoming season.
