Parents are an important part of the La Reina experience. There are many opportunities for parents to be engaged in the life of the school, and all parents are encouraged to participate in ways that correspond to their interests.
Every parent is automatically a member of the Parent Guild. And all parents are invited and welcome to attend school assemblies and the monthly liturgies. Parents of sports-minded daughters are encouraged to join the Booster Club. Those with theatrically talented daughters are invited to participate in SALR (Sustaining the Arts at La Reina). Circle of Friends is a parent group that meets once a month for a special mass and brunch. Countless other involvement opportunities are available through Campus Ministry, Mock Trial, Speech Team and Science Fair.
Numerous parent-involved events are scheduled through out the year. Some highlights are Father/Daughter Bowling, Mother/Daughter Luncheon, New Student Welcome Dinner, Annual Golf Tournament (sponsored by the Booster Club), Evening of Excellence and Green and Gold Tea and the Annual Dinner/Auction. These events and programs are made possible by the voluntary efforts of hundreds of parents and are attended by students and their families.
The Regent Review webpage provides regularly-updated information for all parents.
Organization of school social events and coordination of all parent volunteers is handled through the Development Office. Parents interested in specific events or in volunteering, should contact Barbara Lilley at 805-917-7112 or blilley@lareina.com.
Parent volunteers are needed to help with general tasks throughout the school year: clerical work, errands, Auction '10 preparations, etc. Parents who are interested are asked to contact Barbara Lilley at 805-917-7112 or blilley@lareina.com. Thank you!
