Each month La Reina honors one junior high and one senior high school student as Students of the Month. The purpose of the award is to recognize students who exemplify the spirit and philosophy of La Reina High School according to the following criteria:
The Student of the Month award was established in January, 1988 after a student demonstrated outstanding concern for others. In a cross country meet, Julie Sanders '89 sacrificed her own lead in the race to guide a runner from competing school who had gone off-course.
Congratulations to the 2010-11 Students of the Month! Faculty members nominate a student and provide a description of the student's traits which demonstrate her Regent spirit.
