Social Sciences

The Social Science Department prepares students for their roles as responsible citizens in local, national, and global communities. Components of the curriculum include understanding the complexity of global cultures and celebrating the multi-cultural diversity of our students. In order to access this knowledge in various forms - primary source documents, maps, charts, and textbooks, among others - students learn critical reading, interpreting, and writing skills.
