La Reina High School and Middle School’s Principal Selection Committee enthusiastically and unanimously recommended Ms. Maggie Marschner to become Principal effective July 1, 2019. Survey responses from La Reina parents, faculty and staff were pivotal in informing the committee’s decision-making and echoed many of the points communicated through an exhaustive reference process. Ms. Marschner takes over the position from Ms. Rog, who announced her retirement earlier this year.

As La Reina’s Principal, Ms. Marschner will oversee all aspects of curriculum and co-curricular programming. She is eager to partner with La Reina's valued faculty members and support their commitment to a student-centered focus. Ms. Marschner is passionate about engaging families and all community members in the realization of the school’s strategic vision and related school improvement efforts.
Ms. Marschner holds two master’s degrees in education in the areas of Educational Leadership and Secondary Education. She has enjoyed lecturing at the university level sharing her expertise on the importance of data-driven practices in the classroom as well as educational theory.
Recognized for her outstanding teaching and teacher-mentoring ability, Ms. Marschner was Co-Chair of the Nevada Governor’s Teachers and Leaders Council from 2016-19. Ms. Marschner’s career path includes leadership positions spanning the educational spectrum from elementary through high school.
A native of Camarillo, Ms. Marschner’s family is delighted to be returning home.
