Sister Regina Robbins, SND: Dean of Mission
As a Sister of Notre Dame, Sister Regina has spent decades advocating for Catholic education in over 11 countries. She is deeply passionate about the mission of La Reina and enjoys being a member of our administrative team. Sister Regina was educated at Mount Saint Mary’s College where she earned her B.A. in English and History. She received her M.A. in Theology from Gregorian University in Rome and another M.A. in English from Loyola Marymount University Los Angeles.
Mary Ann Carsillo: World Languages
Ms. Carsillo has over 20 years of experience in Spanish instruction including teaching at the high school and collegiate level for schools including Mount Saint Mary’s College, California Lutheran University and Portland State University. Ms. Carsillo earned her B.A. in Spanish Literature and English from Loyola Marymount University, her Masters in Spanish Literature from University California, Irvine and her Ph.D. in Spanish (Latin American Literature) from the University of California, Irvine. Ms. Carsillo earned her multiple subject teaching credential and bilingual and cross-cultural certificate from the Los Angeles Unified District Intern Program and her single subject teaching credential from National University.
Kristin Dornan: History Department
Ms. Dornan has over 22 years of experience working in Catholic schools and is happy to have joined the La Reina community. Ms. Dornan most recently served as a teacher at St. Bridget of Sweden and St. John Eudes. Prior to those positions, she was the principal of Our Lady of the Valley School. Ms. Dornan earned her B.A. in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her M.A. in education administration from California State University, Northridge.
Nicole Dudley: Math Department
Ms. Dudley has twenty-two years of teaching experience at both high school and middle school levels. Most recently, she served as a teacher at Merrill Education Center, Santa Susana High School and Colina Middle School. She received her B.S. in computer science from California State University, Northridge, and her secondary teaching credential from California Lutheran University.
Alec Gasca: Social Sciences Department
Mr. Gasca comes to La Reina with a passion for social studies and most recently served as a teacher for Ventura High School and Buena High School. Mr. Gasca received his B.A. in history from California Lutheran University where he also earned his teaching credential.
Theresa Valenzuela: Religion Department
Ms. Valenzuela is excited to be returning to La Reina. She worked for La Reina in the English and theology departments in the 1990s. She brings a wealth of experience acquired from a life dedicated to teaching in Catholic schools. Ms. Valenzuela earned her B.A. in English with teaching emphasis from California State University Northridge. She earned her M.A. in private school administration from the University of San Francisco. She is also certified in religious instruction by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
